PIPER – Owned by Kayla
Hi Marc!
Hope you guys are doing well and healthy. I have an update on Piper (from the first litter of Nanouk and Sam). Piper turned 6 on November 27th and I still cannot believe how time flies.
She is still absolutely wonderful and an absolute blessing in my life. Perfect cannot describe her enough.
I was supposed to update you her service dog progress for your website so I will include that now:
She has been an integral part of mitigating my mental health struggles. 2016-2018 was an especially hard time for me and I literally would not have gone on if it wasn’t for her. For this I am eternally grateful. She is so intuitive of my emotions and well being, and recognizes when I’m not feeling my best- even before I do. She has been trained to provide alleviation tasks such as deep pressure therapy, alerting to distress before an episode, grounding and blocking etc. At one point I even had her trained to wake me up if I slept through an alarm (because of medication affecting my sleep). She would hear the specific alarm tone and wake up herself, then hop on my bed and paw/nudge until I woke up. She has been there with me through many, many difficult times. In 2019 she actually accompanied me onboard on a flight to Alberta. She was an absolute superstar, even through airport security (at busy congested Pearson airport!) where I even had to put her in a sit/wait position so that I could go through the detectors first, then command her to walk through herself. I was so proud of her. I will include a picture of her on the plane 
Thankfully, I have been in a much better and stable place mentally the past couple years and she has been given the opportunity to just “be a dog” again. She is still very receptive to my bad days however, and still provides constant support.
I am actually planning to put myself on the next St Pyrenees wait list. I think it would be a waste to not have another one of your puppies grow up alongside Piper as an influential sister

WESSLEY – Owned by Jocelyn
Hey Marc and Sylvie, I thought I would send in an update on Wes and his service dog training so far. He is doing incredibly, he is very mellow and good tempered. He currently (at 8 months old) has proven his natural ability to alert to my migraines, pain, and abnormal heart rate, as well as to my anxiety, and other mental issues. In summation, he provides guide tasks, imperative medical alerts, psychiatric tasks, and eventually will incorporate mobility tasks into the mix. We get compliments everywhere we go about how well behaved he is. He has a very trainable mind, and the drive to learn and it’s so incredible to watch him learn and grow into the service dog he’s meant to be. I can honestly say he has changed my life forever, and without him I would not have the freedom and the independence I have to go the places I do and get things done in my day to day life. He is my best friend and my sidekick and I can’t imagine life without him.

CHEWY – Owned by Michelle

Hey Marc, I haven’t sent you an update on Chewie in a long time. Chewie has become a vital part of our life. My daughter and Chewie have been inseparable since the day we brought her home a year and a half ago. We always saw that they had such a special bond. My daughter was recently diagnosed with ASD, we realized that Chew is her comfort and her best friend. This has been a difficult time for us but this puppy that has become an incredible member of our lives is truly something I could never thank you enough for. Chewie She is 95lbs as of last week and is a happy healthy soon to be registered therapy dog.
In a few years we look forward to coming back for another of your pups. The one photo is Chew doing therapy with our daughter. She is always right beside her especially during hard times.Chewie was suppose to come and be apart of our family as a family dog. Chewie turned into a service dog without us even realizing it. Anna needs help with sensory from touch and pressure. Chewie was providing this help before we understood that Anna needed it. When Anna is having a hard time Chewie is by her side for Anna to play with her hair or ears, lay on her, share some toys with her. Chewie has been Anna’s way to calm down and recollect her thoughts and emotions.Thank you again Marc. Michelle and Dave Gallagher, Chewie is a St-Pyrenees 🙂
RILEY – Owned by Jen and Jim
Hi Marc and Sylvie Riley is doing very well and she is becoming a very good service dog. She is trained for mobility work to help me walk and keep my balance. She does deep pressure therapy to help with my nerve pain. She is also task trained to carry packages and retrieve items for me. I have breathing problems so Riley is also a medical alert dog. She is trained to alert me before I become dizzy and pass out. She has really allowed me to become independent and I would be so lost without her so thanks for giving me such a great dog. I have attached pics below Riley being socialized when she was a pup, Riley doing a hands-free stay at the Mall, Riley in down-stay in the changing room of store, Riley doing one of her tasks carrying bags from store to car- Riley is a Saint Bernard.
